Hit 'em Long and Straight

2/13/07 - I played Blackhorse - South the other day (this is the course they use for the Monday qualifier for the Shell Houston Open) and if you have not played this course, it is a must play for any serious golfer, make sure you bring your best game though.  Where the par 5's are all "reachable", the par 3's and 4's are a true test of your ability to make good shots.  The greens are Tif Eagle, which is my favorite in this area, and they were running about 9.5 to 10 when I played and they roll as true as anywhere else I have played in Houston.  I can't wait for our Tour stop there this year, it is going to be a great round of golf! 

2/27/08 - Today I played River Ridge and all I can say is wow!  This is the first time I had an opportunity to play there and I don't even know where to begin.  The greens are fantastic, the layout is incredible and the overall scenary of the course is absolutely beautiful.  If you have not been to River Ridge, you are missing out on an excellent golf experience.  While I was there, I was able to lock in a special $45 rate for practice rounds, and I will be the first one to be taking advantage of that.  When you call to make your teetime, just tell them you are with the Golf Galaxy Tour and you are in. 

3/04/08 - Next week on Tuesday March 11th, Golf Galaxy is hosting their accomplished players night at all their stores nationally.  I am going to be presenting the Tour at the location at Willowbrook from 7-9pm.  I invte all of you to come out and support our National Sponsor and meet with me.  I will have a few goodies to give away to registered Tour players and VIP members.
